DVS Update

posted 18 May 2010, 11:48 by Christopher Browne
The past few weeks have been quite bust with the section. In April the section travelled to London with other ventures from the county for four days. They stayed in a scout centre outside London and took part in some great activities such as rock climbing and sight seeing. A visit to Madam Tussauds was thoroughly enjoyed by all and some great photos were taken!!! The one downside was when one venture realised he had no passport just before going home! All worked out in the end though!
DVS also helped to run the programme for the cub camp in the May bank holiday weekend. The lads organised an aerial runway amongst other activities and helped with chores on site. The section also helped with the Cú Chullainn Challenge in Ravensdale. We camped on Slieve Foy in May and went in search of the deserted village but unfortunately are still looking!!! We took part in the National Spring Clean in St Helenas Park on Tuesday last. This week we are going to the Cooleys again to find a route for the upcoming group hike. It has been a very busy few weeks with ore to come.
