Annual Camp Success

posted 11 Aug 2010, 08:10 by Christopher Browne
After all the planning and worrying, Annual Camp 2010 has come and gone. Altogether, ten members of DVS traveled to England for what was to be a great camp over eleven days. After one flight and three buses we arrived on site at Walesby Forest at 15:00 on the 28th of July. The camp contained some great activities this year with the lads taking part in activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, tank driving, paint balling, pioneering, archery, hiking, circus skills, off road biking and of the course the all important theme park visit to Alton Towers!!! A wide range of activities to suit all members of the section. The food was excellent throughout the camp as always with dishes such as chicken cordon blue, fajitas, curry and many more tasty dishes being on the menu. Four of the boys took part in a mini explorer belt type expedition and gained valuable experience in preparation for the real thing. Over all the camp was great with everyone enjoying themselves immensely. Photos of the trip will be posted soon!
